Unfurled is an eight issue monographic magazine about analog photography and personal stories. The aim of the publication is to offer a deeper perspective of the photographs through genuine and open stories to inspire and invite the audience to think and reflect.
All the photos in issue 1 correspond to the lockdown period. The publication contains both outdoor and indoor photographs. Outdoor photographs put us in context and show us what’s happening outside, while indoor photos help us get personally involved in the intimacy of the artists homes.
Covers colors are directly related to each issue's topic. Inside pages are white so the photographs can stand out.
Regarding the composition, I created a discrete design, mostly using wide margins between the text blocks. As expected in a photography magazine, photos have a huge importance in the composition, so they take a big part of the space.
