Visualizing crime reporting behaviour of victims of unlawful police violence in Germany

This website explains what unlawful police violence is and visualizes the first results of the research project KviAPol who is doing a study on this topic.
With their permission and support, I used a part of their data and analyses.

One problem is the complexity and the difficulty of getting into the subject. Therefore the aim of this bachelor thesis is to illustrate the topic by means of scrollytelling and infographics. In order to get to the core, the crime reporting behaviour, I first explain what police violence actually is. In most cases, it only becomes officially known through a report and only these cases appear in the statistics. These figures are shown and compared with other offences. Afterwards, an overview of the cases reported to the study is given. Finally, the reporting behaviour is presented and the special features are explained.
